This listing is for 100 genuine Blackberry Lily, Belamcanda chinensis (aka Iris domestica) seeds freshly harvested this September (2024). These are iris-like perennials with flowers that resemble small orange lilies. These plants grow iris like leaves and have 3-4 foot flower stalks. I harvested these seeds myself. The seeds still have the pulp. Sowing: I know these seeds are viable, as I have seedlings sprouting near the parent plants. Unlike other iris like plants, these seeds are very easy to grow from seed. I recommend planting them outdoors (surface sowing) and wait for them to germinate naturally. Here in the northeast where there is ample winter and summer moisture it seems to work. In cold dry climates I would water periodically in the winter and summer. If you plant these seeds in the fall they should sprout the following spring. Growing Once these plants come up, the seedlings are very tough and drought tolerant. These plants flower for us in the Northeast around the 4th of July. These are pretty care free plants. Hardiness zone 5-9.
