TRUE First Editions of this Title are Scarce and Becoming Increasingly Hard to Find!! ALL First Edition Points Present!! Beautiful, Decorative Front Board and Spine!! Hardcover with its original, decorative boards. Gorgeous illustration and decorations on the front board and spine. Gilt on the front board still vibrant, shiny and on full display. Gilt still present on the spine but faded and not as vibrant or shiny. The original tissue guard is present and fully attached. Published by Charles Scribner’s Sons: New York, 1926. A TRUE First American Edition/First Printing/First State with ALL First Edition Points present! This rare treasure has some very clearly visible wear/age, but when considering its’ scarcity and desirability, is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition! The wear, however, should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. The book appears gently read and other than some previous owner writing on the first/blank page, has no internal writing, no missing pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is holding tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with creases/scuffing/wear to the spine/corners/boards, marks/foxing/wear to the edge/fore pages and creases/marks/foxing/discoloration/wear to the pages, NOT affecting the text! Please note the wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, particularly noticeable near/along the edges and on the spine, and the wear that is present on the pages, varying in size and severity and particularly noticeable on certain pages. All of the wear previously mentioned is very clearly visible! The wear should be carefully examined/considered. As mentioned before, there is some internal writing! There is some previous owner writing on the first/blank page. The writing/page has been closely photographed for your consideration.
