Offered for sale is a huge asparagus fork recast in the Lily pattern that was manufactured by Whiting Division of Gorham. This piece is a made up piece, not an original, but one that was struck at a later time. As such it doesn’t have the same crispness one would find in Whiting Div. pieces(see pics). But it’s not a bad strike either. The server only bears the stamp of “STERLING” on it. And the fork measures 9 7/8″ in length and weighs 177.5 grams. The asparagus fork has never been monogrammed.
