Probably one of the most recognizable vanda species, used for generation in breeding large vanda type hybrids and for its Two tone color form. Waling-Waling as its commonly called in its native island of the Philippines is a favorite amongst orchid collectors, Vanda sanderiana aba produces in its season several robust inflorescence carrying several large paperwhite blooms with mint to olive green in the sepals. Truly a masterpiece of nature, even more impressive then the regular form of the species and always a welcome site in any collection as they bloom in the late summer and last for weeks!
