Rain Harvesting Tank Screen Covers are used to prevent sunlight from entering the Rainwater Tank through the Tank Screen, minimizing algae growth. The Tank Screen Cover has two raised flat surfaces on the top to provide the ability to plumb a rainwater tank from one or two different down pipes. The Tank Screen Cover also allows the rainwater tank to be entered with either 3″ SCH40 PVC Pipe or 4″ SCH40 PVC Pipe by having two different notched out circles in each raised flat inlet surface. The notches can be easily cut out with any knife. Installation If necessary, install an elbow so that the pipes feeding your tank are angled down towards the tank screen. Using the provided cutting guidelines and tin snips or a hole saw, cut a hole (or holes) in your solar shield to fit the pipe/s and/or elbow/s feeding your tank. Lift the pipe/s and/or elbow/s and manoeuvre the Tank Cover into place over your tank screen. Push the pipe/s and/or elbow/s through the cut holes to maintain a sunproof barrier over the tank screen and ensure all water flows through to the screen.
