The book for sale is a rare signed, limited edition of Giuseppe Di Lampedusa’s novel The Leopard illustrated by Piero Guccione and published by the Limited Editions Club in 1988. The book was published as a limited edition of only 750 signed copies. This is copy number 203. The book is signed by Guccione on the book’s colophon page. The book is in fine condition with minor fading to the spine and small mark on the leather spine label, see photos. The spine and boards are tight and straight. There are no internal markings, other than Guccione’s signature. There is no previous owner’s bookplate. The slipcase is in near fine condition with minor shelf wear, see photos. The book is bound in natural linen and the spine label is Nigerian goatskin stamped in gold. This is a beautiful copy of this extraordinarily rare production.
