Description Shimano (SHIMANO) PE Line Har #0.6-#6.0 Braid Line 100m-150m-200m A new series of PE line is now available. The new series of PE has a “bounce/stiffness” that prevents line trouble and triples the durability against abrasion breakage, and is comparable to the Pit Bull series. This new series of PE line is made of Honeywell’s Spectra, an 8-strand braided PE line finished with the MX2 construction method, which improves abrasion resistance and provides the right amount of “bounce/stiffness”. This PE line is easy to use with spinning reels as well as bait reels. The MX2 method forms a highly crystallized layer on the fiber surface of PE line. The outermost layer is coated with a silicone coating to repel water and improve line handling. Trouble-free Designed to prevent lines from tangling with each other by providing moderate “bounce/stiffness”. This design prevents various problems associated with lines. Instructors involved in the development of the line have reported reduced problems. Adoption of strong Spectra Honeywell’s polyethylene yarn “Spectra” is used. It is about 15 times stronger than steel and is used in various applications such as bulletproof vests and ropes for ships, in addition to lines. MX2 Method for Improved Wear Resistance The MX2 method is a proprietary process that forms a highly crystallized layer between filaments in the surface layer.
