Ultra cool eye-catching vintage Hawaiian Surf Champion shirt. Rare find! The shirt is clean and in very good condition. It does not have a size tag on it but my best guess is a size Medium or a smaller fit Large. The patterns on this shirt are brown, orange, & green in color over off white background. Makaha printed on shirt along with Kahanamoku Invitational. The Duke Kahanamoku Invitational Surfing Championship is named in honor of the “Father of Modern Surfing”, Duke Paoa Kahinu Mokoe Hulikohola Kahanamoku. The contest began in 1965 by invitation only. In the Hawaiian language Makaha means “fierce” or “savage”, which refers to the group of bandits who were based in the Mākaha Valley. Please ask any questions you have.
