Norman Rockwell’s THE TOY MAKER Rosenthal – Selb – Bavaria Ambrogio Pozzi Plissé Vase Being offered on this auction is a deco vase made by Rosenthal China , Selb , Bavaria , Germany . It is of famous now German Op-Art line. Famous Italian inventor and designer Dr. Ambrogio Pozzi (b. 1931) designed this vase. It is called “Plissé” and has a shape of lady’s gown. This is one of four vases in this series. This form is known in many colors. Vase on this auction is original all-white object. Pozzi worked for Rosenthal since 1967. He designed Plissé vases in 1985, just next year after mutually rewarded Totem series. Vase is fully glazed. Looks splendid. This is Rosenthal form 3743. Vase is marked on the backside with standard Rosenthal Studio-Linie mark in green. Other marking is artist signature written in green and form number 3743/22 incised on the backside. Vase measures about 4 ¼” in diameter and stands 8 ¾” tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found. This porcelain is thick and heavy.
