Vintage Joe Owen Pottery HTF Multi-colored Drip-glazed Handled Ruffle-rim Basket North Carolina Stamp Mark This red-clay pottery basket by Joe Owen of Seagrove North Carolina measures approximately 4.5 inches, excluding the handle, and is about 7 inches with the handle. It has a ruffled rim, has mottled drip grazes in the colors of greens, blue, yellow, and dark brown/olive. The drip glaze is on the interior and exterior. The footed base measures approximately 3.75 inches in diameter. It has an incised mark of JOE OWEN on the bottom. Joe Owen was born in 1910 and died in 1986. Very good for its age. Condition: There is a small glaze chip that is about 1/4″ as shown in one of the images. It does have age crazing. Please contact us if you are interested and have questions.
