Hello, I will support your music life from Japan. I will do my utmost for the service you satisfy. Item Description Ovation 1984-5 Collector’s 1984 (1984) Ovation caused a sensation in the 1980s and 1990s with its groundbreaking design and deep electric-acoustic sound. Among them, the Super Adamas, which began production in 1976, has an innovative specification of a carbon graphite top that overturns the conventional wisdom of acoustic guitars, and reigns as the top model of the Ovation brand, the 80 All the musicians who were active from the ’90s to the ’90s used this Super Adamas. Ovation quickly rose to become the top electric and acoustic brand due to the popularity of Adamas, and in 1982 they began producing the Collector’s Series, which was limited to that year. This is the third edition of the 1984 Collector’s Edition. Speaking of the 1984 Collector’s, it is a coveted model that is also known to have been used by Chiharu Matsuyama, who was also at the height of her popularity at the time! AAA Sitka Spruce TOP, Lyracord BODY, Mahogany/Maple 5-piece NECK, Ebony fingerboard, Walnut bridge, actual 42.6mm nut, 25.25 inch scale super shallow body. I remember seeing Chiharu Matsuyama, who appeared as the main MC on “Hello Midnight” which aired on TBS from October 1984 to March 1985, playing and singing many famous songs with this guitar. I’m sure there are many fans out there! The see-through black finish with black stain (or rather, it looks like dark brown) has a strong impression, and I’m sure there are many fans of the Collector’s Series, which will be released every year from around this year. I think many people have started collecting them. The live sound is a well-defined sound that is unique to Ovation! The crisp and crisp sound combined with a short sustain creates a unique sound that can only be experienced with Ovation. Because it is a super shallow bowl, the bass is crisp and crisp, and you can enjoy sound with good separation of sounds. It’s no wonder that many fast-playing guitarists love the Ovation. Ah, Chiharu-san is definitely not the fast-playing type (lol). The preamp is a FET preamp, and it is a simple preamp with only volume and tone, but because it is simple, the sound when plugged in is also thick, so you can enjoy the thick single-note electric acoustic sound that is typical of Ovation! The overall condition of the instrument is in very good condition, but there is some deterioration over time that is characteristic of Ovation. The paint on the top of the Ovation is quite thick, so the way the weather check enters is spectacular, and it looks like it’s cracked, but it’s about 15 cm from the side of the fingerboard on the 1st string side toward the bridge. Weather check is included. It doesn’t look that noticeable, but when you rub it with your hand, it feels a little wavy. Also, several whisker-like weather checks can be seen around the bridge, but I don’t think they are particularly noticeable. You can feel the ridges in the paint film on the weather check area next to the fingerboard, but overall it is in good condition with almost no waving on the top that is typical of Ovation. The has a dent under the bridge on the 1st string side that is a little noticeable depending on the viewing angle, but other than that, there are only a few small scratches here and there, and judging by the overall condition, it is in good condition considering the model year. You could say that. The neck condition is good and straight, and the current string height is about 2.5mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string above the 12th fret, which is the best setting. There are currently 4 shims under the saddle, so you can set the string height to your preference by inserting and removing the shims. The frets have been worn down overall and appear to have been rubbed together, but there is no noticeable chatter or clogging, and 60-70% of the original height remains even at the point where the frets have been worn down the most. Therefore, there is no need to worry about refrets for the time being. At the time of its release in 1984, it was a high-end model that the average person couldn’t afford at ¥390,000 in Japan! This is a rare item that is recommended not only for Chi-sama fans but also for Ovation collectors! The original hard case is included, but it has various sticky stickers on it and the string that holds the lid on is broken, so when you open it it opens fully 180 degrees. The lid of the pocket inside the case is also missing. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- The description is as detailed as possible, Due to the nature of the product, notation of all states may be difficult.
