NBA Live 99 is the fifth installment of the NBA Live video game series and the first to be released on the N64 (1998). The game was developed and produced by EA Sports. NBA Live 2000 is the sixth installment of the NBA Live video game series and the second to be released on the N64 (1999). The game was developed and produced by EA Sports. NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC is a 1999 arcade-style basketball video game developed by Eurocom and produced by Midway for the N64. Instead of the traditional NBA 5-on-5 gameplay, this game features 2-on-2 gameplay with teams and players from the NBA. There are an amazing number of secret characters, such as many Midway employees and movie monsters such as Frankenstein’s Monster and The Wolf Man. It is the successor to Midway’s previous basketball titles NBA Hangtime and NBA Jam and is the first in the series to have fully 3-D polygonal graphics, featuring real uniforms for all NBA teams. Midway followed up the game with the console exclusive NBA Hoopz .
