Greetings! Merry Sunday to you. For your consideration, a trio of Victorian brooches! They seem to function as brooches as intended. The gold was tested for 10 karat and the picture added for your own conclusion. As you know with Victorian jewelry that can mean solid 10k or it could mean plated~scented~tickled~slapped~Filled~ rolled, and so on and so forth. The Victorians seemed to have had an endless variety of ways to treat their jewelry where gold and gold content were concerned! Therefore if you are buying this specifically for the gold melt value, please be advised they’re lovely but very, very notoriously hard to pin down Victorian. However, if your interest is in them as classically authentic Victorian for the brooches themselves, they’re lovely and seem to function as intended and would show very well indeed. As pictured my favorite deeply etched one is missing a pearl and I cannot tell you if those pearls are natural or not, but this is the one I suspicion is solid 10k, but again can’t guarantee…still gorgeous though. StolenRomeo has a very low opening bid, so hopefully these will find a good home that will press them back into usefulness because they are indeed lovely. Thank you for your time and consideration.
