These Mesquite wood pistol grip carving blanks are 6″ x 3″ x 11/16″. Mesquite is a smallish hardwood tree that grows in the American Southwest and is known for its durability and beautiful grain pattern. It can be carved either with hand tools or machine grinders and takes a very nice finish. One side of each blank has been sanded flat to give you a good start. If you are replacing the grips on a “thumb-buster” type of pistol, this gives it a nice Southwest touch. It is a nice wood that is not often found for sale.
