Souvenir Travel Plates were a popular collectible back in the 50’s/60’s. People were excited about their travels and many homes sported “proof” of where the occupants had visited. Today, they are popular on a “Plate Wall” as an interesting decor accent. Inevitably you will get a “I remember those, along with a travel discourse” lol. This NYC plate has an unusual Swirl or Wave edge with purple and gold accents………doesn’t see that much in the NYC Plates. It’s about 8 1/4″ across. No maker name or manufacturing source. Probably had a sticker label which is long gone……..but most probably made in Japan. Attractions are: Times Square United Nations Bldg. RCA Building Statute of Liberty Coney Island Empire State Building NY Coliseum (demolished in 2000) Condition: Very good……..no chips/cracks, colors still bright. Please see pictures.
