If you’re looking for visual magic, it doesn’t get much more visual than this! Matrix 2.0 by Mickael Chatelain is one of the fairest, cleanest and incredibly visual hole-jumping effects on the market today. The effect is as follows. You take a playing card and punch four holes through it in the four corners with a standard hole punch. The holes can clearly be seen through with no optical illusion. Holding the card between thumb and forefinger for all to see and without any movement from you, amazingly the first hole visually jumps from its location in the corner to the top of the card. That’s right, without any suspicious moves from you, the hole jumps on its own. To prove it’s not an optical illusion, you move your finger up and down behind the card showing the hole really is a hole and can be seen through. You then repeat the process with another hole, causing it to jump from the bottom to the top. The holes really are there and it doesn’t get more visual than this.
