Eyt at the age of fifteen before leaving Prades for Paris in 1930.”” He then attended the workshop at Maison-Laffite of the dinandier Laurent Llaurensou who taught him the art of decoration and patinas. Louis Cazals loved his job as a painter-decorator however in the evening he devoted himself passionately to painting. From 1932, Louis Cazals began as a self-taught artist and then met the Catalan Rafael Benet who guided him as friend and master. This encounter will allow him to acquire the basics of painting and allow him to establish a link between techniques, artistic movements and creative drive. His interest will be in Impressionism. Through the many exhibitions that mark the career of Louis Cazals from 1943 to 1995, we discover a tireless landscaper who lays on the canvas the attractions and attire of Provence, Morocco, Brittany, Normandy, the Landes, the Basque coast, the Vendée. Thus emerge his favorite subjects, the natural rhythm of the place he observes and the impression of time passing. His work of material, offers us a peaceful work, the fullness of an instant to the natural rhythm of the elements.
