Up for sale in the ebay store is a brand new package of Kadee HO-scale knuckle couplers. This is a retrofit kit used to add “scale” couplers to early (yellow box?) Kadee boxcars. Kadee’s PS-1 boxcar broke new ground in detail and fidelity when it was released over two decades ago. Unfortunately, these cars predate Kadee’s development of their “scale head” coupler lineup. The cars also have a mounting system and centering springs that are unique to this model. The#2100 is a pair of complete “drop-in” assemblies that can upgrade any early Kadee PS-1 model to the newer “scale” couplers. It also provides new stirrup/sill steps for the corners of the car… and can be used to replace breoken ones! Installation is a little tedious the firs time, but very slick once you’ve done it.
