Infidelity Journal: Set of Two. Written by Amanda Aliff. A “must have” for any couple that is working through betrayal of any form. Designed by therapists, the infidelity couples’ workbook—for the betrayed and the betrayer—was created to find clarity after a betrayal. The brilliant methodology of the workbook guides each person toward open communication, through the use of both individual and collaborative processing, allowing those involved to start on their path toward healing. The workbooks have five main types of activities: • Independent Journaling: These are the activities that each individual will complete on their own. It will be important to take time to process and answer each question honestly, thoughtfully, and thoroughly. • Sharing: These activities are designed to help you share and process the work you did through independent journaling with your partner. The purpose of these assignments is to strengthen your relationship, improve communication, and increase understanding. • Independent Processing: These activities are designed as a follow up after sharing. Conversations may trigger additional thoughts or feelings, and it is important to note these thoughts and feelings as they come up throughout this process. This section can also be used to take notes of important things that stood out to you during your conversation with your partner. • Collaborative Processing: These activities are designed for you and your partner to work on together to establish goals or engage in open conversations about different topics. • Activity: These are activities that are designed for you and your partner to take action and engage in together. Some of these activities may be challenging, as they may ask for you to connect to your partner while still feeling hurt.
