My auctions and BIN’s do not require immediate payment ( I don’t check that option on the listings ). I can no longer combine shipping on multiple wins after you pay for them as ebay charges me for all items including shipping charges. BIN what you want and wait for me to see the sale and send an invoice or request an invoice to be sent. This is the only way to get combined shipping. This sale is for : A Modified Xlerator slot car “Kit” as shown in the main pic. Many of the pics are of my car and not included and pics for details and information. I’ve made a few of the “Frankin Jets” that are based on using XL parts on a standard T-jet chassis and they are fun to run but there are some nice things about the original chassis that are better to have than a standard T-Jet chassis in my opinion. Most “frankin jets” use the taller afx/AW type magnets that spaces things right but add excess weight. The brass top plate is not anchored in the front like the xl chassis and the typical T-Jet brush springs are a weakness in my opinion? Modifying the standard xl chassis has so many advantages. Once I replace the front end as shown and add a guide pin, remove the rear diode and jump that connection the car has many advantages. Since the magnets are shimmed up in the chassis normal height magnets are used and the better powerful Dash magnets of your choice can be used, killer B’s, black widows etc. The normal height magnets mean less wt. instead of the taller magnets in the “Frankin Jet” configuration. The brass top plate is still anchored in the front and the brush system is a more robust spring and dot brushes set up. The chassis electrics are much better and brushes etc. can be more easily adjusted and maintained. No hassle getting the leaf spring tension just so. A big advantage is this chassis allows the swapping out of various rear ends that you can’t do on a T-Jet. This comes in handy if/when you set up the car to run the “Big Block” replacement rear gear. The Big Block gear was a $10 option when they were offered years ago and probably impossible to find now. You can have a rear set up with a shorter shoulder crown gear ( white dash 15t crown w/the shoulder sanded down that you will have to do ) to account for this gear. The Big Block gear will give you more TOP END RPM. You have options to run the car in “big Block” mode or normal gearing by easily swapping rears and rear gear to stock. I’m offering a kit of parts for this build. The chassis is completed for you. The armatures are 8.3 ohm electrically balanced standard xlerator quadralam arms that I tested in each chassis. I’ll include the stock AND the “Big Block” gear. I’m including Dash level 6 cmp magnets that are very powerful and if too powerful I’ll have the JL, Dash Blue/White matched magnets available as BIN in other sales. Brushes and brush springs are included and each arm is tested in a chassis. It only makes sense to let the builder decide to use dash parts to complete the build or better parts such as RTHO rims, ultra tires, hollow axels, front ends of choice etc. Inexpensive dash parts for rims, tires, shoes, springs, axles can yield a fine chassis and are included. I’ll have some independent weighted front ends available in other sales but supplies are limited and they can go fast. Like any slot car the xl has it’s own tweeks and best way to assemble and disassemble. I did tac super glue in the plastic bushing on the brass gear plate as that is VERY easily lost. Also the rear gear shaft can also get lost if not worked on over a tray etc. This is a complete kit but better parts swaps are your option and small parts such as spacers/shims etc. might be needed if desired for the axle set ups? I’ll be listing many ( and I mean a LOT) of slot car items in the future. Many items are custom/unique/handmade and in very limited supply, for the racer and collector alike. I enjoy building so I?m selling off all parts etc. that I will have no need for and make available old and new ?custom? items I come up with.
