Up for sale is this Hardwood turning blank. It is African Paduak ( Pterocarpus soyauxii ) and measures 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 12.0″ . Color is a distinctive Red and has a straight somewhat interlocked grain. Use only sharp tools to cut this one and it finishes beautiful. Paduak is similar to Walnut in density and ease of working . It is the perfect size for a Wood Chisel handle. Design your own and turn it out on your wood lathe, finish anyway you like and have a unique tool that shows who you are and fits and feels just like you want!
