Large growing dendrobium which grows thick canes of dark green deciduous leaves, in the spring this variety produces clusters of amethyst purple blooms with flares, usually in the center of the petals, but same have been on the edges like a halo. These are unusually large blooms for the type, which is always a plus and like most superbums the sweet raspberry fragrance is very strong and delightful. One of my favorite pendent dendrobiums, I’m looking forward to seeing more of them bloom this upcoming season. Large flowering plants on mount. Currently leafless (12/1/2024) until spring. Dendrobium leaves may drop off or turn yellow in shipping. Its a common reaction to being in a dark box for a few days.
