Based on the proven design of the original DeFORM Cold Weather Grille Covers, the Mk2 has a more pleasing look as it reproduces the mesh grille design of the existing Jeep Wrangler 4xe. This kit fits the Wrangler Sahara and Rubicon 2021-2023 models (will not fit Willys models). These covers will also fit the Gladiator EcoDiesel Overland and Rubicon and some Wrangler EcoDiesel models. For confirmation about fitment, contact us and send a picture of your grille. Why grille covers? If you drive your Jeep Wrangler 4xe in cold winters, then you probably know of the “Fuel & Oil Refresh Mode” (FORM). In order to clear the FORM and return to normal operation, many conditions need to be met. One of those conditions is for the engine oil to get to a high enough temperature (90 Celsius/194 Fahrenheit). This condition is very difficult to achieve during the cold winter months. Cold weather can also have negative effects on EcoDiesel Gladiators and Wranglers. Cold temperatures can cause premature engine wear, reduced fuel efficiency and poor performance. The DeFORM grille covers blocks 90% of the cold air from entering the engine compartment during the winter in order to help the engine get warm enough and clear the FORM. The DeFORM grille covers are made with Flame Retardant ABS plastic that conforms to the UL-94 standard, commonly used in the automotive industry. The DeFORM grille covers can easily be installed or removed in seconds, without the use of any tools. They are also safe to use in contactless car washes. This kit is COMPLETE and includes both the Lower and Upper covers (14 individual covers in total). Use for cold weather operation. The covers are not recommended for ambient outside air temperature above 40F (4C). Remove immediately if the engine shows signs of overheating. Remove if towing heavy loads. Manufacturer is not responsible for damage due to misuse. The DeFORM Mk1 & Mk2 covers will not fit 2023 Rubicon 4xe 20th Anniversary Edition.
