This vintage plush “Twitty Bird” was sold at the now closed Twitty City. A must have for collectors or Conway Twitty memorabilia. It’s Conway’s mascot, the Twitty Bird! (NOT to be confused with Warner Brothers’ Tweety Bird.) It all started in 1960 when rock deejays started referring to Conway as the “Twitty Bird.” He liked it and created the cartoon character with cowboy hat, boots, and a guitar with his initials “CT” on it. In 1970 he even changed the name of his band from The Lonely Blue Boys to The Twitty Birds!
