Aechmea ‘Burgundy’ A hybrid cultivar forming a large graceful tubular rosette and the dark, waxy, concave leaves are a copper, glowing burgundy color in good light. It keeps its true dark burgundy color more so indoors or in the shade. The rosette grows to about 70cm wide, and the leaves have upturned barbs running up to a sharp point in at the tip of the leaf. The plant forms an inflorescence with milk white flowers and purple petals. This plant pups readily allowing for a nice grouping within a couple/few years. As with most all Bromeliads, it is frost tender and will freeze. This offer is for one full grown plant.
