A TRUE First American Edition/First Printing/First State with ALL First Edition Points present! This rare treasure has some very clearly visible wear, but is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition! The wear, however, should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no remainder marks, no missing pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is holding tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with creases/scuffing/marks/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, marks/foxing/wear to the edge/fore pages and creases/marks/wear to some of the pages, NOT affecting the text! Please note the considerable wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards and the marks/foxing that is present on the edge/fore pages! The wear is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The original, First State dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped! Some general/shelf wear along with creases, scuffing, marks and rips. There is also a piece of tape attached to the inside of the dust jacket and what appears to be the remnants of a piece of tape also attached to the front cover! Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners, on the front and near/along the edges! The wear, particularly near/along the edges and on the front cover, is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of this rare book.
