This SUV was 3 years ago updated by Mercedes dealer under the “Mercedes Bluetec Emission Modification Campaign”. In this campaign, the (Mercedes) dealer performed series of modifications to the Bluetec System including installation of the newest diesel emission system and software, also including replacing parts that were for a recall in value of about $10,000 + $6000 labor. The whole Exhaust system – including DPF, EGR, SCR and also the whole Bluetec systems were replaced and updated with the latest parts – specially produced and imported from Germany . Now the car comes with a still remaining fully transferable emission and engine warranty of 1 full year or about 28,000 miles provided by MB-USA. Under this warranty, Mercedes just replaced the Timing Chain + Tensioner and the Intake Manifold Air Flap Runner Motor, Levers and Sensors. Also oil cooler and seals were replaced.
