Dear Studios, 1985 A. Belcari figurine Lady with Dog, Basset Hound Figurine appears to be in perfect condition. No visible cracks, chips, or damage. Paint is in great condition. There is one small clear spot (see last two pictures) of what appears to be glue – perhaps from where the leash was glued into the hand. Could also be an imperfection in the glaze? I don’t know – I’m not an expert. But it is transparent and hard to see unless you know it’s there and the light hits it just right. Leather dog leash is intact and attached securely at both ends. Leather is clean and not stiff or cracking. Bottom of the base has a sticker on it. Has some heft to it – does not feel hollow. Blouse and hat are shiny – everything else appears to have a matte finish. Measures about 10.5″ tall by 4″ wide. Non-smoking household.
