Published by Éditions Ministère du Travail et des Transports, Paris. The French Riviera has always a popular travel destination and not just for the French. In this delightful image created for the Tourist Bureau, one of Pablo Picasso’s images is used to suggest a visit to the Cote D’Azur or Riviera, site of the Cannes Film Festival. Hired by the French Tourist Board to create a poster for the Côte D’Azur, Picasso used his immense skill and a varied color palette to evoke the salt air, the wondrous landscape and the sheer exuberance of a place he loved deeply. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
