In good condition. Light wear to extremities with minor scuffing along edges and corners. Spine ends slightly frayed with lightly tarnished lettering. Modest patch of soiling to front board at left edge. Internally bright and clean with minor foxing and light age stain. Free of markings or ownership. Binding tight and intact. Sound. The Cornhill Magazine was edited by Thackeray with his literary contribution made in a column called Roundabout Papers, a miscellany of reminiscences during the latter years of his life; Thackeray died on Christmas Eve 1863.
